I made this smoothie bowl for our Thanksgiving potluck over the weekend and it turned out just beautiful. And it was also a delightful treat, and easy of course.
Here’s how to do it.
1 cup frozen bananas (I like to slice and then put in freezer.)
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 scoop protein powder (I used Thorne Chocolate Whey Protein Isolate)
Hemp seeds, coconut flakes, fresh fruit or whatever you’d like for your topping
Put your frozen banana and mixed berries in the blender. (Or use any kind of frozen fruit that you like!)
Blend/pulse until in small bits. (Make sure your blender can handle this. If not, add just a little milk now.)
Then add your protein powder and a little coconut milk (I didn’t measure this out – sorry! But it was no more than 1/4 cup.)
Blend again. Serve with toppings. (This is about four servings.)
**If you want more protein then try adding another scoop of protein powder and a little more milk. I had some bananas left over so I separately blended 1 cup of frozen bananas, then 1 scoop protein powder and a little more than 1/4 c coconut milk. There wasn’t much for the blender to work with since I only had the cup of fruit, but it tasted good!
