Member Spotlight: Sabine Robinson

We’re spotlighting Sabine Robinson!

Sabine has been a member at Dragonfly for 7 years and says that semi-private training at Dragonfly is the best part of her day. We loved learning about her work, her travels and her interesting hobbies! Thanks for sharing, Sabine!

The first thing to know is my name is pronounced “Sabina” even though it’s spelled Sabine. It’s a pretty common German name and the “e” is pronounced like a short “a.” I’ve lived in St. Louis for 32 years but didn’t go to high school here so I’m not considered a native St. Louisan LOL.

I grew up in an Air Force family and attended 9 different schools in 12 years across 5 states. It made me pretty adaptable but also kind of introverted as we often moved in the middle of a school year. I was fortunate in that we were stationed for 4 years at Wheeler Air Force Base in Hawaii so I spent ages 8-12 living within an hour of the ocean.

I have been self-employed as a training and development consultant for Northwestern Mutual for the past 22 years and work from home which I love. I’ve written a book for new insurance agents called “Quick! The Cement Is Drying” and I also co-host a podcast on training and developing new insurance agents.

When I’m not working, I love to read, listen to music, create collages out of magazines and other paper scraps, and put together 500-1,000 piece jigsaw puzzles. I have quite a few puzzles hanging on my walls that I’ve glued and mounted – they make for colorful, inexpensive art!

I’ve been working out at Dragonfly for almost 7 years now and the semi-private training is the best part of my week – it’s kind of my therapy. I love seeing all the posts about women becoming stronger and more confident. I’m also 20 years cancer-free so yay! You can find me at www.sabinerobinson.com

Thanks for sharing, Sabine!
