June Member of the Month





Congratulations to June Member of the Month, Chelsea!


Chelsea was nominated by Coach Jenny! She says Chelsea is very consistent, always showing up for her workouts! 


When I first started at Dragonfly Chelsea was a familiar face! I had her as a client/ member before and it was nice having that connection. Chelsea has a great sense of humor. If you get a chance to workout with her you’re in for a good time. :)

What brought you to Dragonfly? The draw for me was that it was an all-women’s gym and class based. I wanted some direction and to feel comfortable while working out, so this was the perfect choice.


What separates your experience at Dragonfly from other gyms/workouts/things you've tried in the past? In the past, I tried the “traditional” gym setting but found myself not being motivated to go and not knowing if I was doing the right things. Here, we always have a plan and the trainers are there to help correct form and make sure that we’re doing what’s best for us. I also appreciate the sense of community that I feel when I go to class. Other members check in on me regularly and ask me how things are going in my life, and that always makes me feel welcome. 


Is there anything that strength training has taught you or given you that you weren't expecting? Strength training has taught me that I’m stronger than I think. I’ve also noticed the mental health benefits. I had never really bought into the idea that exercise is beneficial for anxiety/depression until I noticed a difference in my wellbeing when being away from class for a week or more. A bonus is that I don’t completely dread working out anymore. :)
