I know flexibility is an important part of fitness. It helps prevent injury, increases mobility for daily living, and improves posture, yet it is the one thing that seems to go by the wayside in my training.
I may start with good intentions. I even get out my mat and get in a down dog, but something distracts me. I do a little hip and hamstring stretch and call it a day. I decided to try this fifteen minute, fully body, guided stretch on YouTube, and I really liked it.
There is gentle music playing in the background and no talking. She just shows the stretch and then you hold the stretch with her for the allotted time. A soft bell lets you know it’s time to change the pose. It’s 15 minutes well spent.
