Congratulations to April Member of the Month, Erin!


Erin was selected by Coach Denise. She says, "Erin works hard, attends consistently and is always sweet and welcoming. She asks great questions and pushes herself weekly. I rarely need to encourage her to add weight because she is always working on getting better. If something doesn’t feel right, we talk about it and she slows down and figures it out." Great job Erin! What separates your experience at Dragonfly from other gyms/workouts/things you've tried in the past? I had been trying different gyms and workouts for the last ten years or so, and no matter what I tried, nothing would stick for more than a few weeks. I am a chronic overthinker who feels anxious really easily, and so many other gyms and classes were too intimidating to even try. I've also played team sports my whole life and missed that sort of coaching and camaraderie. I thought about joining Dragonfly every time I drove by it, and once I finally convinced myself to try it, I knew immediately I found the right fit. No matter the coach or who is in the class, I feel comfortable and welcomed, while also feeling motivated to push myself and grow. I've only been a member for a little over a year (a milestone I was proud to hit!), but I never want to leave. You get to work at your own pace while being challenged in a class setting, and I love the inspiring group of women I workout with every week. They really make the whole experience so much more enjoyable. Shout out to the 6:00 AM Tuesday/Thursday crew!


Is there anything that strength training has taught you or given you that you weren't expecting? Strength training has definitely pushed me outside of my comfort zone and shown me that I'm capable of a lot more than I ever give myself credit for. Even just trying the class on my own and sticking with it was a welcome surprise! I had also lost a lot of confidence in myself over the last couple years, and training at Dragonfly has really helped me regain it. 


We love when y'all celebrate & share your accomplishments - big & small, inside & outside the gym.  Share with us something that you are proud of from the past few weeks or months. I've never been much of a craft person but have been trying to find new hobbies. After being captivated by many TikTok videos of people rug tufting, I decided to give it a try! I'm really proud with how I've caught on to it, especially my latest creations (a Pop Tart and a Charmander pokemon for one of my best friend's children), and I highly recommend watching rug tufting videos if you need a little brain break - it's so soothing!
