If the thought of planning out your meals and trying to eat healthy fills you with dread, let me give you one tip to help make things easier!
CHOOSE FOODS THAT YOU ACTUALLY LIKE TO EAT.
Seriously though. How many times have you planned out your meals and filled your week with stuff that you don’t really like? I mean, I applaud all of us trying to eat the healthiest foods possible, but if we don’t really like them that could be doing us more harm than good when it comes to long-term nutrition and a plan that we can get on board with.
Here’s an example. I don’t really like cauliflower anything. You can rice it up however you want, but…I still don’t really like it. Although I have had some cauliflower mashed potatoes before that I liked because…butter. 🙂 So…after multiple times of buying it and putting off eating it or not eating it all…I finally stopped. I just eat regular rice and everything is fine. Rice is not bad. Just gotta watch portions and pay attention to how it makes me feel.
Now maybe the foods that you actually like to eat don’t support your goals. Instead of labeling them as off limits, consider a little better option. There are healthier versions of just about everything!
And remember…it’s a process. Give yourself time. Changing everything at once doesn’t work for most of us. Snag up those small victories…they add up!
