Part 1: Nutrition Basics

Renah Jones, Owner of Dragonfly Fitness and Precision Nutrition Level 2 Nutrition Coach, will lead a virtual nutrition basics workshop. If you feel overwhelmed by all of the nutrition info out there, Renah’s no BS approach will help simplify it for you and you will walk away with an action plan that you help create!

Renah will show you that simplifying your nutrition first starts with changing the way you think about food. We’ll address our relationship with food and make room for mindful eating, as well as discuss the components of a healthy meal and the best habits you can start right now to improve your nutrition (without deprivation)! You’ll learn that there’s really just a few key habits to master and then you can set your own rules for healthy eating.

Conversation is encouraged during this workshop and everyone will have the opportunity for personal coaching to create their action plan. All attendees will be sent a nutrition survey regarding your own personal needs, and will have the option of sending a 3 day food log to Renah for review pre-workshop. Everyone will receive a mini nutrition guide, along with the Zoom recording of the workshop.

Part 2: Healthy Home-Cooking Building Blocks

Julie Layton, Dragonfly Fitness member and founder of Generous Helping, home-cooking coaching for the healthy-curious, will lead a virtual, interactive cooking class to demonstrate how simple it can be to whip up healthy and delicious meals—be it for one, two or a family. She’ll show you that you don’t need fancy or complicated recipes to be successful in your healthy eating goals; you just need a plan, some favorite building block ingredients and a dash of confidence to inspire you to create a rotation of your favorite go-to’s you’ll enjoy again and again. Along the way, she’ll include tips and tricks to help you cook more efficiently and mindfully.

You’re encouraged to cook alongside her for the full experience, so once you sign up, you’ll receive not only the Zoom link, but also a list of ingredients and some food prep assignments so you can make the most of your time together. If you don’t have time to shop, prep or cook, join all the same to watch. All attendees will receive a recording of the class as well as the recipes.
