My First Trip To Costco

By November 3, 2020 blog

Sooo… I finally went to Costco for the first time a few weeks ago. It was glorious! There were some great deals and new foods we were excited to try. (And yes, This is what it has come down to. My excitement is a trip to Costco, LOL.)

Here are a few of my finds. I think we’ll be heading back soon so I’ll let you know what else I find!

#1 Amylu Chicken Breakfast Sausages

Y’all there are a lot of sausages in here. (54, I think?) And these are good! Ingredients are basically chicken and spices. And these are a steal at $11.99 compared to what I was paying for a much smaller package of Applegate Organic sausages, approx. $5.99.

#2 Milkadamia Macadamia Milk

I switched over to nut and coconut milks a long time ago (they just work better for me). I found 6 quarts for 9.99. WHAT? This stuff costs $4 – $5 for 1 quart at Whole Foods. Mind blown!

#3 Rao’s Homemade Marinara

This is one of my favorite sauces and it was also a great deal at $10.39 for 2. (Because you apparently can’t just buy one of something at Costco!) We’ve paid anywhere from $7 – $9 for one jar before. It has all natural ingredients: Italian Whole Peeled Tomatoes, Olive Oil, Onions, Salt, Garlic, Basil, Black Pepper and Oregano. No added sugar or unnecessary ingredients.

#4 100% Grass-Fed Beef Patties

15 – 100% grass-fed pre-made patties for $19.99. Easy and they taste good.

#5 Autumn’s Gold Grain-Free Granola Bars

Love having these around for a quick filling bite! All real ingredients (and all listed on the front)! 16 in the box for just $16.99.

There were a few other items I wanted to share, but we ate them before I could get to writing this! What I learned was that Costco does carry healthy, quality foods (in addition to the world’s largest bags of chips) for a much better price! So, yeah, stuff is actually cheaper!

And, of course, we acted as if this was a one time trip and made the rookie mistake of buying too many a little better snacks…. from frozen Keto bars to Keto browinies to dark chocolate… I never need that many options around the house!

Can’t wait to share my next finds with you.
