  • […] Need some happy and healthy ideas for someone special on your holiday list? We’ve got ya covered with some of our favorite things right now from self-care to something to wear. Here are some of our favorite things right now that make us happy and help us pursue our health and fitness goals! Sarah, Membership Services Team:  I subscribe to this self-care app for women called Sanity & Self. It’s $9.99 per month, or $59.99 for an entire year and it allows you access to a collection of podcast-like programs centered around a variety of topics including confidence, self-love, self-discovery, fitness, and nutrition. You have an embedded personal journal in the app, and can set it to give you reminders for “self care time.” And I love LuLu’s Local Eatery on South Grand. They have wonderful food. I’m not vegan, but still really enjoy it. You can purchase gift cards on their website. Kelli, Assistant Studio Manager: I love All Birds shoes. I like that I can wear with or without socks and they wash well. There are only online at www.allbirds.com and offer free shipping. Need a little treat or stocking stuffer? Bada Bean Snacks are delicious! They are great on their own or use on a salad instead of croutons. Purchase in stores or at www.badabeansnacks.com. Evie, Coach: I was gifted a pair of pants from Bombsheller and love them. They range in size from XS to 6X and are made to order in Seattle. They are a bit pricey, but fit really well! https://shop.bombsheller.com/ I’m also a big fan of the MobilityWod Supernova. It digs in a little deeper than a foam roller on some areas that I need it to (middle back and glutes, specifically)! https://www.roguefitness.com/mobilitywod-super-nova-2-0 Missy, Director of Training & Membership Services/Coach: I love, love, love Feetures socks. I always pick them up at Big River Running! If you’re looking for a great little gift or stocking stuffer, I really like Penzey’s Cinnamon. I love putting it in my coffee because it adds a little sweetness without the added sugar. And I always find my favorite workout pants and shorts at Athleta. I like the high waist options on both! Renah, Owner/Coach: I listen to The Tim Ferris Podcast quite a bit and have two of his books that are just a potpourri of great info. Most of the books I read are business-related, but Tools for Titans & Tribe of Mentors offer so much great info on literally everything including health and fitness. And you can skip around if there’s a section you want to skip. I think both are great gifts! I really dig Nux pants. They are little expensive, but I’m still holding onto a pair from about four years ago…so they last. And Etsy is a great place to look for that very specific thing. Like this coffee mug. What else do we love? Get bonus points for giving a Honey & Thyme giftcard! They provide healthy prepared meals and the menu changes weekly. We’ve tried them and highly recommend. Dragonfly is actually a pick-up spot too! Y’all Breakout Bites are so good! Our members reach for Chocolate Peanut Butter Bites the most! A great stocking stuffer or gift and they are made here in St. Louis! We love supporting charities and would definitely consider it a healthy choice! Good for the soul.  Our partner charities for 2018-19 are Gateway Pet Guardians and Memory Care. Check them out if you aren’t familiar with the good work they do. Rowing is becoming quite popular! We’ve been rowing from the start, but have been able to really start developing our RowEndurance classes. And now we’re really excited to offer a Learn To Row Workshop in January that is open to everyone — you don’t need to be a member. We want everyone to experience the benefits of rowing and know how to do it well! It’s Saturday, January 12 and you can get all the details here – 9 spots available! […]
