Congratulations to our February Member of the Month – Tina!
Where do we start? There’s so many things to appreciate, but what we REALLY love is that Tina always brings that something extra. Not only is she one of the first to class (even at 6am!) and is always smiling, but we can tell that she just really wants to be here in the moment, making the most of it! She shares her positivity with others and can often be heard encouraging her fellow Dragonfly gals in class.
We’re thankful for Tina’s positive spirit, and think she’s a pretty special member of our Dragonfly community.
We asked Tina a bit about her training experience at Dragonfly, and here’s what she said:
What first convinced you to give strength training a try?
Barbells and heavy lifting can seem crazy and intimidating…thanks to the Dragonfly coaching I feel more comfortable with weights and know that I am getting stronger. It is definitely a process.
What’s your favorite workout or exercise?
ROWING!!! I love this workout and really like learning about different aspects of rowing from inspirational leader of the “rowing cult” Coach Renah! I always feel like I get a great full body (use your legs) workout and the usual group of fellow rowers are really fun and supportive!!
What motivates you to keep consistent with your workouts?
I just wake up and go —90% of the time I don’t need an alarm —I try my best and know the Dragonfly coaches are going to help and “push” along the way. I feel great when it is over and know that I have done something really good for myself.
What’s one lesson you’ve learned (inside or outside the gym!) since starting at Dragonfly?
Thanks to Dragonfly I am a true believer in the motto the only bad workout is the one you missed!! Workouts are part of my schedule most days of the week. This has made me be more organized in other parts of daily life and dedicated to meal planning and food prep. I always get good tips for the week ahead in the Dragonfly emails!
Bonus: What’s your secret talent that nobody knows about?
Playing in the dirt —love gardening!
