Black Dog Fitness, St. Louis’ Premier Kettlebell Gym, will offer kettlebell-centric training focused on strength, skill, and smart progressions. We’re here to help men and women of all fitness levels get superhero strong, while making a difference and giving back to our community! (Specifically supporting…rescue animals, military service members, and youth at risk of being bullied.)

Black Dog will not be your everyday group training experience. Training at Black Dog is focused on education and skills in a small group setting. While the camaraderie of a group setting is an important and fun component of the experience, Black Dog intends to fight the standard cookie cutter group experience with training that is personalized through different skill levels.

We’re offering a friendly and challenging co-ed training space for those who are serious about getting strong, learning, being better and doing some good for themselves and others! Training will be led by Owner & StrongFirst SFG Level 2 Kettlebell Certified Coach, Renah Jones.

Giving Back

Black Dog Fitness was born out of a desire to make a difference through fitness. While our goal is to help men and women who wanna get super strong, we’re also going to be very intentional about using our resources to support rescue animals, military service members and youth at risk of being bullied.
  • Rescue animals. Right at the heart of Black Dog are rescue animals. We will not only spread the word about pet adoption (especially senior and special needs dogs), we will also donate 100% of profits from our group training to local animal rescues.
  • Military service members. Current and former U.S. Military service members suffering with PTSD and physical disabilities will be welcome to train with us at no charge. We’ll be working through various organizations to set this effort up and will reserve spaces in our group training programs just for them.
  • Youth, ages 10 – 13, who may be at risk of being bullied. Once we get off and running with the above two efforts, we will work with an organization to develop a weekly/monthly program just for kids to help build confidence and strength.

Black Dog Fitness was inspired by one very special senior rescue dog, Oreo.
