Congratulations to our October Member of the Month, Lois! Our coaches love how supportive of other members Lois is, and how she gets in for her workouts despite a challenging work schedule!
Coach Missy says Lois shows a ton of improvement and dedication to her kettlebell training and always keeps a positive attitude. Not to mention she steps outside her comfort zone to try new things!
We asked Lois a bit about her training routine, and this is what she had to say:
What’s your favorite exercise/equipment to use?
TRX because I am a total klutz (as anyone who has watched me try to do anything with feet in the straps can attest), and it forces me to focus on core strength, which I’m trying to acquire.
Most Memorable PR or fitness goal you are working toward?
Pushups! They were a lot easier 50 years ago…
What would you say to other ladies who might be nervous to start strength training?
Go for it! You will discover a new sense of “freedom” in movement, not just during class but in everyday activities. Plus, the burn rate is great!
Extra: What’s your favorite type of music/specific songs to work out to?
Anything that gets Deb dancing while the class gets moving.
