Meet our November Member of the Month, Kelly!

 

 

Coach Missy & Coach Renah both agree that Kelly has never let obstacles stand in her way. She moves forward with no excuses. She works her butt off.

Kelly focuses on her form before anything else and she’s not in the habit of taking the easy way out. She recently completed the Rock Your Jeans Challenge and amped up her nutrition and training and had some amazing results!

We’re happy that Kelly is a part of Dragonfly! She inspires others around her with her positive attitude and work ethic, and she inspires us!

We asked Kelly a few questions about training and here’s what she had to say.

How long have you been strength training?
I have been doing at least one lift class each week for about a year now.
What’s your favorite exercise or equipment to use?
My favorite equipment to use  is the TRX.
What has been your most memorable personal record or accomplishment so far?
My most memorable personal record has just happened with the Rock Your Jeans challenge. I am actually under the weight listed on my drivers license for the first time in many many years..proving to me that I can not out exercise a bad diet.. although I have spent a lot of time testing that!! Ha!
What would you say to other ladies who might be nervous to start strength training?
I think I was nervous about  strength training because I had never done it before, but the coaches helped me with form and movements and choosing the proper amount of weight for me. I love it now. It’s so empowering to feel yourself getting and looking stronger every single day!
 
Bonus: What’s your favorite type of music or specific songs to work out to?
I love to listen to good old 80’s and 90’s rock n roll…LOUD!!
